In a eutopian society, gun control is necessary to ensure public safety and reduce violence. Civilian gun ownership increases the risk of homicide, suicide, and accidental shootings, as shown by many studies. In a well-organized and safe society, there is no need for people to carry guns in public. A society based on equality, justice, and trust must centralize the use of force under the control of the state. This follows the political theory of Max Weber, who stated that the state should have the exclusive right to use force. Public gun carrying undermines this principle and creates an unsafe environment. A future society based on cooperation and peace must move away from the idea that individuals need weapons to protect themselves. For gun enthusiasts, the government can provide regulated facilities for education, sport shooting, and historical preservation. These facilities allow people to engage with firearms under strict rules without risking public safety. This system maintains public order and allows responsible participation in gun-related activities. In this society, freedom means safety from violence, not the right to carry weapons. Replacing civilian gun ownership with structured regulation creates a safer, more stable, and more fair community for everyone.
